FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We're gonna answer some of the mostly commonly asked questions...

Hearing that we'll serve you board games during the evening can provoke some questions. That's before we get on to the brunch, the terrasse, making a reservation, opening hours, private functions... To help you out, we've made a list of the most frequently asked questions:

Do we have to make a booking?

We'd recommend it, especially if you're looking to come as a big group on Friday evening or for the Sunday brunch. If there's two or three of you, normally it won't be a problem. Worst case scenario, you can take a seat and relax at the bar whilst waiting for a table to come free.

How do we make a booking?

All bookings are made through our website. It will ask you if you wish to play the board games or not. Please pay attention to whether you select to play the games or not, it will depend on which room you get seated in. We're counting on you to let us know if there's any changes to the number of people in your group too!

I can't seem to be able to make a booking for Saturday night and I'm worried?!

Don't worry, Saturday evening is the only time we work on a first come first served basis. We've tried bookings on it before and it just didn't work. Nope, it's all you can play baby, stay for as long as you like.

But wait a minute, what if we're a big group?

We're aware that if you're celebrating a birthday or the like, you won't be wanting to take the risk of coming on a Saturday night without a booking. That's why we make an exception to our Saturday night rule, for three large groups each weekend.

What time should we arrive by on a Saturday night to be sure of having a place to play the games?

It's difficult to say. The earlier you arrive, the greater chance you have of getting a place straight away. At worst, if there's no space left on the games floor, we'll add your name to the waiting list and you can start your evening in the bar downstairs on outside on the terrasse. There's a good turnover between 7pm and 8pm, when those from the afternoon head off and vacate their tables.

I can't make a reservation after 8pm?!

We don't take bookings after 8pm. We're lucky enough to normally have no places left after that. But you're still more than welcome after that. In general, we can find some space and a place for you. If you'd like to play the games, we'll put your name on the waiting list and you can relax whilst waiting in the bar area or on the terrasse.

Do we have to play the games?

Of course not! We know you've come to us to relax, chill out however you'd like!

However, if you would like to just enjoy what food and drink we have to offer, we ask that you sit downstairs in the bar area or outside on the terrasse. The first floor is reserved just for those wishing to play the games.

Can we play games on the terrasse or downstairs?

Sadly not, our service from our board game sommeliers is only available on the first floor. They already have their work cut out keeping up and delivering the best service to the all tables there!

Why do we pay 5€ per person for playing the games?

Because we've got to pay our sommeliers for the great service they provide

Because you can play such an enormous variety of games that you wish, for as long as you like. No limits, no one is gonna bring you the bill as soon as they take your desserts away.

Find me another activity where you can have as much fun, with as many people as you want, for as long as you want, for only five quid!

Please note, if you arrive late into the evening and there's not a whole lot of time left for playing games, it's only 2.50€ (or it even becomes free if there's less than an hour and you're cool)Name me another activity you can do in the city with as many people as you like and for as long as you like. Bowling? That's like 15 quid for an hour. Laser Quest? That's more money for even less time.

What time does the kitchen close in the evening and for the bunch?

11pm from Tuesday through till Thursday

Midnight on Friday

1am on Saturday

10pm Sunday

The brunch is served from midday until 3pm. If you miss the last call for the brunch, well, then you really have woken up too late on the weekend. Better get your act together!

Is it an all you can eat brunch?

Crikey, not at all, you're not eating at Flunch. Our brunch is fresh to order. We only use fresh produce and hate wastage.

That's not to say you can't eat till you're fit to burst however. When you will have managed to wolf down our breakfast poutine and pancakes or the entirety of the brunch plate, I guarantee you that you'll be more than satisfied.

Plus this also allows your brother, who's paying attention to his waistline, to simply enjoy an acai bowl and can go on and enjoy the rest of his day.
